In 1943 Huber wrote the White Rose's sixth and final leaflet calling for an end to National Socialism, which was a political term of ideology of the Third Reich government. The leaflet was distributed by Sophie and Hans Scholl and other White Rose group members around the University of Munich campus.

In translation to English, the text included the following: "In the name of German youth we demand of Adolph Hitler that he return to us the personal freedom which is the most valuable possession of each German, and of which he has cheated us in the lowest possible manner."

Professor Huber was arrested by the Gestapo on 27 February 1943. The Gestapo was the German government's secret police force. According to text in The Encyclopedia of the Third Reich, authored by Louis L. Snyder [1907-1993], Professor of History, The City College and The University of New York (published 1998 by Wordsworth Editions, Ltd., England) "Hitler [chancellor of the Third Reich] "deemed it necessary to protect the existence of the Third Reich by a political police that would track down and eliminate all dissidents, complainers, and opponents. He regarded any individual, no matter what his status, as a potential suspect. His Gestapo became a symbol of the Nazi reign of terror."

On 13 July, 1943, Huber, and White Rose student supporter Alexander Schmorell were executed by guillotine at Stadelheim Prison, Munich. Alexander Schmorell was born Sepember 16, 1917.

Hans Scholl, a White Rose supporter, was born September 22, 1918, and executed on February 22, 1943. Sophie Scholl (Hans and Sophie were brother and sister) was born May 9, 1921. She was executed on February 22, 1943
